An accomplished violinist and educator, Robin W. Wilkins is the director
of the Langley Orchestra. Under her direction, the orchestra grew to its current size of over 130 students.
Recently, Mrs. Wilkins led the orchestra on a European performance tour highlighting Austria & Germany. While there the
orchestra perfomed at Shoenbrunn Palace and recieved a citation from the Mayor of Salzburg. This spring, Mrs. Wilkins plans
to return to Europe for an Italian tour.
During 2002, Ms. Wilkins received the Virginia Governor’s School
Award for Excellence in Teaching. She also received the 2003 National Symphony Award for Music Excellence and is listed in
the 2002 edition Who's Who in American Education. Ms. Wilkins has served as insturmental judge for the annual Bland Scholarship
Competition in Fairfax, Virginia as well as solo and ensemble festivals throughout the county. She has been a clinician at
the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston- Salem N.C. and for schools within Fairfax County. Certified for K-12 in
both band and orchestra, she received an exemplary rating, the FCPS highest rating for faculty.
